Interview

  • What is your ‘niche’?
My niche is providing ‘white glove service’ in an industry where class is to be desired at times. I work in customer service / management and take pride in my desire to go the extra mile to create a great experience. It is lost on most that someone has thought for hours, days and weeks in anticipation of their time with someone - and I will make sure that they leave our time thinking about how great it was for months to come.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
I would share a memory about my family and all of the amazing places I have been fortunate enough to travel to growing up. Most likely relate the amazing food to something I had had along the way on one of those trips!
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
I identify my greatest personal traits as follows:
    - My intelligence is something I have always taken pride in and continue to further on a daily basis!
    - Charisma and charm that allows me to build meaningful and lasting connections with others
    - Sense of humor that makes everything a little lighter
    - Ambition that keeps me looking forward to what is to come next, while appreciating the present
    - Humility that keeps me grounded and reminds me that we are all equal
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
I show up for myself and I make sure that I continue to practice personal responsibility in all aspects of my personal and professional life. Please ask what personal responsibility means to me!
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
Laidback and active. I enjoy being a high energy, low-stress individual. Enjoy the things that are meant to be enjoyed and do not let others drain your battery!
  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
Respect is the main pillar for any relationship in my life. I expect the same respect that I put into a relationship in return. All are respected equally until I am given a reason to either gain respect or lose it. I pay attention to how someone treats strangers and appreciate those who show respect to everyone they encounter.
A good way to put it is that I have the most respect for the people who always say thank you to the bus driver!
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I LOVE being outdoors and around nature. Preferably discovering and exploring a new part of the world! I love to hike and camp and being in or around water is a plus in my book!! If I cant travel I will most likely be out by the pool enjoying the sun or inside listening to music!
  • What do you do for fun?
I listen to music nearly all waking hours. I love live shows, festivals, etc. Sex is a great way to have fun as well!
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
Although I am grateful for every amazing opportunity or experience I have had, my greatest experience is waking up every morning.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
I have struggled with this question since the day I signed up for RM. I have tweaked and shifted it a tad every so often but my answer doesn’t resonate how I intend. simply put, I am honest to a fault. I am always presenting the true version of myself, and do not change or create an alternative persona regardless of who or what I am doing. The Jake you meet the first time is the Jake that is sitting alone in bed right now writing this message. I enjoy what I do immensely and do not need to act for myself or anyone else!
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I believe in the adage, “good things in, good things out” so I try to consume foods that are nutritious but still tasty. I like to avoid processed foods as much as possible but do not have any specific dietary restrictions (other than I do not like mushrooms, olives, or raw tomatoes) !
I love to eat out and explore restaurants in the cities I visit, and prefer to pair my meal with a glass (or bottle) of pinot noir or red blend!
    - I try to work out at least 3 times a week to bulk up a bit, so if you are looking for a gym/post-gym locker room buddy, I am your guy!
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I previously was traveling full time to support myself, and although it was exciting and allowed me to experience so many things - it was not sustainable. I now have a full time job that keeps me grounded but I have 3 days off every week so I still try to use the time off I have to go on a small getaway. I would say I am traveling every other week and would love to have a reason to go somewhere new or revisit a city ive enjoyed before!
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
I was adopted at birth. This continues to humble me and has instilled boundless gratitude for the people, places and things I have been able to experience. I have recently expanded my family tree, connecting with my biological siblings last year and am now a proud uncle!!
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
-I am tirelessly developing myself as an individual. I hold high value in personal responsibility and the impact it has on my past, present, and future. I have made many mis-steps and taking ownership and utilizing the lessons I have taken away from them has only made me grow.

-I am a people pleaser at my core, and navigate and adapt the role I take in different settings.

-I LOVE to hold stimulating conversations. Ask my opinion on something controversial!
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
The quality I enjoy most about myself would be my charismatic demeanor and positive attitude. I can thank my Grandmother and my Mom for developing my affable qualities. I love learning about others’ passions, and finding the commonalities between us! There are infinite outlooks and perspectives to gain by listening to others, and I love to meet new people. By filtering our human experience with others’ predispositions in the foreground has allowed me to reshape my own outlook on the world.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
    I could not survive without:
    1)MUSIC
If I am not engaged otherwise, I am without a doubt listening to music!

    2)PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICHES:
Nostalgia is one of my favorite phenomena, and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches always reminds me of eating my lunch in elementary school.

    3)COMPANIONSHIP 👯‍♂️
My family, friends and the new faces I meet help recharge my battery and help keep a smile on my face!

    4)THE GREAT OUTDOORS
There is nothing I enjoy more in life than my lungs being flooded with crisp mountain air. Waking up to the drowsy sunlight filtering through the trees during a camping trip is my ideal setting.

    5)TRAVEL
I am blessed with the ability to travel as frequently as I do. I thrive in settings that are continuously developing where opportunities to learn and experience new things are abundant.
